Current projects
River Culture Animateur (Middle Tweed) at Connecting Threads.
Connecting Threads is the cultural strand of the landscape-scale project Destination Tweed. We connect creative practitioners with conservationists, environmentalists, scientists, river specialists and communities of place and purpose, to celebrate the River Tweed through our five-year programme of cultural activity.
Running through the south of Scotland into north Northumberland, the Tweed’s distinctive environments are rich with cultural heritage and contemporary creative practice. The river is a living presence through our towns and villages and reminds us that we are all part of something culturally and environmentally bigger than ourselves.
Project Development Officer at Little Art Hub (LAH) Galashiels
An artist run space in a previously empty shop in Galashiels town centre, established in March 2024.
LAH provides a safe, accessible and inclusive intergenerational space for established and emerging artists, students, young and older people, the LGBTQ+ community, the creatively curious, high-street shoppers, visitors to Galashiels, those who may feel disengaged from traditional community spaces and activities and looking to make connections outside of traditional social activities available in Galashiels and those who are less likely to benefit from funded culture.
Words, Words, Words…
